Q: Is First Christian Church a part of a denomination?

A: The short answer... no

Q: What type of attire can I expect to see at FCC?

A: FCC is a "Come as you are" kind of church. You'll find a warm, casual and welcoming environment where an array of dress styles can be found. We want you to feel comfortable in whatever you choose to wear and focus on the message of Christ's love.

Q: What kind of music do you use in worship?

A: A mix of modern, contemporary, secular and sacred. We are trying to reach out to people who don’t know Jesus and have little or no church experience. We have designed our Sunday morning services to be easily accessible, even using music that sounds like what you might hear on the radio. We are trying to “become all things to all men so that we might by all means save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:22).

Q: Do you have services or classes for my children and teens?

A: We design services and classes for all age groups, from the nursery through High School, simultaneous to our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services.

Q: Who can take communion here?

A: At FCC, we take communion every Sunday. Communion is open to all believers. Since there is only one church and every Christian is a part of that church, every Christian is welcome to take communion with us.

Q: How do I become a member of First Christian Church?

A: We believe that God adds people to the church and that all Christians are members of that church. So, we don’t have any formal procedures that we require for membership. We do, however, recognize that membership in a particular congregation has some significance in our current Christian culture. If you are already a believer, we simply ask that you publicly affirm your faith to the rest of the congregation. We usually do that during one of our Sunday morning or Wednesday night services.

Q: How do I become a Christ-follower?

A: One of the last things Jesus told his disciples was to make other disciples “baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20). Scripture teaches that all who believe in Jesus and call on his name will be saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:13). If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and want to call on him to be your Savior and Lord, we’d love to help you proclaim your faith and be baptized.
