The fact that you are reading this indicates you are looking for something. If you will allow me to be presumptuous I want to suggest that you are searching for the same thing I am. Actually, there are hundreds at First Christian who are looking for the same.

It took me years to realize that my inner pain and frantic searching were about my most basic life issue – connection. My feelings of loneliness, fear, and insecurity were driving forces in the core of my being. These forces drove me to people, places, and activities that complicated the problems.

I even discovered that church was divisive, boring, irrelevant, and money-hungry which just left me even more disconnected. Maybe you have been dissatisfied with previous church experiences also. Don’t give up.

We at FCC are beginning to see more clearly what God’s church family should be and how to get there. Through faith and love we are discovering honesty, openness, relevance, creativity, and freedom. We are finding connection with God and each other. Through humility, gentleness, and truth we are accepting one another and helping each other become mature.
